Announcements

Folks: the Riverbank Council meets only once in November, next Tuesday the 14th at 6 p.m. At their last meeting in October they did NOT announce that Zoom would no longer be an option for Public Comment (as they did at the October Planning Commission meeting). So, that’s a good thing. The Zoom code for this meeting is: 879 2270 6918 or you can click the link at the BOTTOM of the agenda (riverbank.org).

The Council agenda includes 3 presentation items so this may be lengthy, and the last presentation is an update on the Wastewater Treatment Plant expansion (the one Riverbank residents are now paying 18% more for on their sewer bill starting last January, and will go up another 18% in Jan. 2024). This would be good to tune into.

Update on signature gathering for the Ballot Initiative: we have about 1,100 signatures and we need 200 more. To that end, besides the collector who is regularly in front of O’Briens Market, Barney and/or a volunteer plan to be at Morris Nursery on Sat, Nov 11, from approximately 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The owner has agreed to let us be there. Please let me know if you can help. Barney and I, the Kent & Karen Mitchell, and hopefully others will also be out collecting signatures Thurs, 11/9, Friday, 11/10 and Sat 11/11. Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated as we count down into the final weeks of this process.
