Vote YES on the Riverbank Urban Growth Boundary Initiative — November 2026
Thanks to an incredible community effort, we were successful in gathering the required signatures, and the Riverbank Urban Growth Boundary Initiative will be on the ballot in November 2026.
This initiative supports the continuation of Riverbank’s current Western boundary, helping protect the city’s edge where soils are among the highest quality. Communities across Stanislaus County, the Bay Area, and the Central Valley have adopted similar Urban Growth Boundary measures.
If voters approve this measure, it will establish a clear western limit for city expansion. It does not permanently block any future proposal to annex or develop the area—but it does require a majority vote of Riverbank residents to make that change.
You can read the full initiative in the Document Section. To get involved—help spread the word, volunteer, or stay up to date.
