Stop the River Walk is a community group in Riverbank, CA, working to protect local farmland, green space, and the town’s unique character. Here is a quick list of what you should know:
- A proposed development threatens to remove Agricultural Resource Conservation protections, changing long-standing General Plan policies that have guided Riverbank’s growth.
- The project could strain water and sewer systems, increase maintenance costs, and leave taxpayers carrying the burden.
- More development would likely mean more traffic, more air pollution, and greater pressure on limited local infrastructure.
- Expansion into the Stanislaus River corridor also risks damaging valuable riparian habitat and local biodiversity.
What we stand for:
- Protecting farmland, open space, and scenic areas
- Supporting growth that is fair, sustainable, and aligned with existing plans and infrastructure
- Ensuring Riverbank residents have a meaningful voice in decisions about growth
- Promoting transparency, accountability, and informed community involvement
- Protecting quality of life and utility rates for local families

Get a Yard Sign.
Spread the Word.
Win the Vote.
One of the fastest ways to grow support is simple visibility. A yard sign turns your front lawn into a daily reminder for neighbors, commuters, and friends: Vote FOR the Stop the River Walk ballot initiative. It’s a small action that creates big momentum—one street at a time.
Want a sign?
Grab one for your yard, your business, or your neighborhood corner (with permission). We’ll share pickup/drop-off options and a suggested donation to help cover printing—because more signs means more “FOR” votes.
